The Electronic
and Instrumentation laboratory has refined instruments which have
a high degree of accuracy. They are maintained to ensure a high
degree of performance. Tailored Instrumentation setups are made
for special experiments at the Water & Air flow laboratories.
Data Acquisition Systems coupled with dedicated software ensure
a high degree of repeatability and reliability. The laboratory
has the capability to cater to the calibration of parameters like
Voltage AC/DC, Current AC/DC, Frequency, Time, Capacitance, Inductance,
Resistance and Temperature. The laboratory is also involved in
Development
of new type of flowmeters like Thermal mass flowmeters for measurement
of very small flows which is an import substitution.
