Training or capacity building is one of the major objectives of FCRI. The professionals and people from developing countries are offered unique training courses at this prestigious centre of excellence. With his objective in view, FCRI has successfully conducted more than 250 National training programs and 100 International Training programs so far. FCRI also offers specialized tailor made training programs for executives/technicians in specified areas for interested organizations. Such programs have been conducted for industries like GAIL, ONGC,IPCL, Weights & Measures Department, Water Authority etc.
FCRI has been offering various advanced Technical Training programs for overseas personnel
under Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) sponsored by Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India. The ITEC Training program is fully sponsored by the Government of India
which includes return international airfare, course fee, book allowance, accommodation, study and a stipend.
The platter of training courses range from basic levels to advanced such as:
- Basics / Fundamental Principles in Flow Measurement Systems and requirements for Calibration / Testing of flow products,
- Advanced Training programmes that include basic introduction and moving towards site installation requirements & validation aspects,
- Custody Transfer metering principles, Testing/validation of technologies and Legal Metrology aspects.
- Instrumentation & sensors’ applications, Metrology in electro-technical and thermal parameters.
The customised training programmes are specifically designed to meet the needs of each industry sector such as Oil & gas, Water & Power, Chemical Process industry, Education sector, automotive & manufacturing, scientific & aerospace, etc.
