100 mm Water Flow Lab

Considering the requirement of a high accuracy (± 0.1%) set-up for calibrating new generation flow meters and the heavy demand in the existing Water Flow Laboratory, especially for sizes upto 100 mm, an advanced high accuracy water flow laboratory to accommodate meter sizes upto 100 mm and a flow rate of 300 m3/hr has been set up. It was commissioned in the month of October'05

2007 Global Conference - Flotek.g

FCRI had organised a Global conference flotek.g titled "TOWARDS INTELLIGENT FLOW MEASUREMENT AND CONTROL SYSTEM" at FCRI, Palakkad during 26-28 September 2007 which was a grand success. Around 70 technical papers and 16 keynote presentations were made during the conference. Noted speakers include Emer.Prof. Mike Sanderson, Cranfield university, Dr. Richard Furness,JDF Associates,UK Dr. Richard Steven, CEESI, USA. Around 300 delegates attended the conference. The Exhibition was a big attraction with about 40 stalls.

Appoinment of Representatives for FCRI

FCRI has appointed M/s K R Systems ans Services as their Authorised Representative for the State of Gujarat, M/s RollWell Enterprise in the State of Maharashtra and M/s SSSP Technologies in the state of West Bengal.
The Process of Appointment of Representatives in Other states of India and in the countries of Middle East, South East Asia and Africa is on.

Certificate Program

A Post Graduate Certificate Programme in Petroleum & Natural Gas Flow Measurement & Control Techniques is under way from 1st August 2007 to 30th December 2007. Around 37 Graduate Engineers from Instrumentation, Electrical & Electronics, Mechanical and Chemical Engineering are presently undergoing the course.

FCRI ventures into the Water Distribution Network Analysis

FCRI has ventured into the field of Water Distribution Analysis by doing Analysis of Fire Hydrant Water Network Analysis of M/s CPCL, Chennai in a record time of less than 1 month. FCRI has also bagged order from M/s Mahindra Water Utilites Limited, Tirupur for the performance Evaluation of New Tirupur Area Development Corporation Limited.
